IYT Family Orientation

Special Guest, Ms. Vega conducted a workshop for the brothers on Suicide Prevention.

In recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, IYT at Franklin High School hosted a vital and impactful workshop focused on mental wellness. We were honored to welcome a special guest, Ms. Vega from the Child Abuse Prevention Council, who led a powerful discussion with our brothers.

The session was designed to educate our young men on the importance of awareness, how to recognize signs of distress in themselves and others, and how to advocate for those who may be struggling. This workshop provided a safe and supportive space for a critical conversation, equipping our brothers with the knowledge and compassion to support their peers and prioritize mental health in our community.

This month, we are proud to honor David as the IYT at Franklin High Brother of the Month! Since joining the program, David has shown an unwavering commitment, not only through his consistent attendance but also by holding his fellow brothers accountable to our shared values.

He has a magnetic, positive energy that naturally draws others in, making the IYT room a more welcoming and vibrant space for everyone. His dedication is clear, as he knows the IYT Mission, Vision, and Values by heart and actively sets a powerful example for his peers to follow. Congratulations, David, on this well-deserved recognition!
