This September, IYT at Golden Valley High School was all about growth and community engagement. Our brothers put their commitment into action by participating in a campus clean-up to beautify our school. This theme of personal responsibility continued in our most popular workshop, “The Things They Carry,” where students reflected on their personal journeys. This dedication to growth was exemplified by our honorees: we celebrated Daden for his impressive academic improvement and recognized Charles as Brother of the Month for his outstanding leadership and proactive spirit.

This month, IYT at Golden Valley High School put our value of community service into action. Our brothers dedicated their time and effort to a campus clean-up, working together to beautify our school grounds. This initiative was a fantastic way for students to earn community service hours while demonstrating their commitment to taking pride in their environment. It was wonderful to see their teamwork and dedication firsthand.

Beyond the Backpack

Our most popular workshop this September was a powerful session called “The Things They Carry.” This reflective workshop created a safe space for our brothers to explore the emotions, responsibilities, and personal experiences they carry with them every day. The discussion fostered deep connection and vulnerability, helping our young men build empathy and a stronger sense of brotherhood. It was an impactful session that went beyond academics to support our students' social-emotional growth.
