Partners in Success: A Recap of Parent Orientation
Parents of IYT Brothers gather for the Parent Orientation.
As the semester kicks off, Shaq and Emmett at IYT–Mills Middle School have already reached full capacity for their program. This week, the team hosted a Parent Orientation to welcome both new and returning families.
The turnout was strong — about 26 parents and 30 students, so many that we ran out of seats! Families left with a deeper understanding of IYT, enjoyed a meal together, and some even went home with prizes as a small token of appreciation for their participation and commitment to the program.
IYT Recruitment
IYT staff spent the day recruiting brothers to the program.
As the school year began, all of our returning members came back, but a few roster spots were still open. Shaq and Emmett devoted two weeks to recruiting and meeting with potential students. Their hard work paid off — they not only met their enrollment goal but now have a waitlist full of eager students ready to join IYT.
Young Men and Boys Initiative
In this powerful conversation with Josh Fryday, Michael shares why connection, purpose, and service are essential to addressing today’s crisis facing young men and boys—and how IYT is building a pipeline from college to community rooted in love and belonging.
This month, we are thrilled to honor Cory as our Brother of the Month for his outstanding leadership, initiative, and dedication! During our recent Parent Orientation, Cory immediately stepped up to help, graciously assisting with cleaning and passing out water to all of our guests.
His leadership doesn't stop there. Cory has also been named the newest team leader for the cross country team and is already making his mark, recently winning 2nd place in a match! Cory exemplifies what it means to lead through both service and achievement. We are so proud of you, Cory!
A Powerful Partnership with Farahi Law Firm, APC
IYT is proud to announce a new and powerful partnership with Farahi Law Firm, APC who have generously become a Champion for our programs at both Mills Middle School and Mitchell Middle School. Farahi Law Firm's commitment to justice and community advocacy extends directly to their investment in our youth.
