IYT Brothers participate in an IYT College project where they stylize a sneaker based on the college they want to attend.
In IYT we are exposing our students to college in different ways. By researching, watching videos, visiting, or getting creative by doing arts and crafts. We asked our students to find a college of their choice, write two fun facts about it, and decorate the shoe with the appropriate school colors. This promotes the research aspect and using their creative juices in a fun project that they will remember for a long time.

At IYT Mills Middle School, we would like to recognize King-Jermaine Newman, a 7th grader, for his outstanding start to this year. He has eliminated distractions and accumulated all As and Bs this semester. His total GPA is currently at a 3.50, and we cannot be more proud of him for the jump he made from last year.
Brother of the Month

Brother Jais has received the first Brother of the Month for his excellent attendance, grades, and leadership qualities he shows on campus. Jais is a new student that is already demonstrating the IYT ways and is showing it amongst his peers. We reward every BOTM with a college t-shirt to promote college-going culture and a hot meal of their choice!
