Josh Fryday and California Governor Gavin Newsom with members of IYT.
Dear Supporter,
I’m thrilled to share that Improve Your Tomorrow has been selected as a featured partner for Governor Gavin Newsom's new statewide initiative, the California Men’s Service Challenge.
This partnership is a crucial step toward empowering the next generation of young men and boys, helping them transform isolation into purpose and a sense of belonging.
Yesterday we officially launched the year-long campaign with an intimate conversation, focused on the crisis of loneliness for young men and boys, and the impact of service and mentorship. During the roundtable, hosted at Florin High School (a Title 1 school), our IYT Brothers and mentors shared their lived experiences with notable figures including California Governor Gavin Newsom, California Volunteers Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday, and Education Policy Advisor to the Governor and Executive Director of the State Board of Education, Brooks Allen.

Following the roundtable, a press conference was held for the statewide initiative. Our co-founder, Michael Lynch, and our Sacramento Program Director, Adam Allen, spoke alongside Governor Newsom, Josh Fryday, and Marcus L. Strother of Mentor California.

This historic investment is a testament to the life-changing work we are doing, and to the true impact of your support. Real impact isn't built in the easy times. It's shaped in moments like this, where a new chapter begins and the path forward is a collective effort.
With that in mind, we’ll be sharing additional updates and ways to join this movement soon.
In the meantime, we ask that you help us amplify the message by sharing our posts on social, and consider visiting the California Men’s Service Challenge website to learn more and take the pledge.
