This past month, our brothers at Pittsburg and Black Diamond High Schools kicked off the new year by laying a powerful foundation in their first workshop, focusing on brotherhood, identity, and purpose. This spirit of dedication was on full display as we celebrated our senior academic achievers, Tristen and Darien, for their impressive grades and resilience. Setting a fantastic tone for the year ahead, Josiah was honored as Brother of the Month for his incredible energy and immediate commitment to the program.
First Workshop of the School Year
The Brothers came together for their first workshop of the school year.
To kick off the new school year, our brothers from both Pittsburg and Black Diamond High Schools came together for their first IYT workshop. During this powerful session, they explored the core mission of IYT and reflected on how each of them belongs in the program. Students also examined their personal identities and lived experiences, identifying both what they carry and what drives them. The session sparked thoughtful conversations, encouraged self-expression, and laid a strong foundation for a year of connection, purpose, and brotherhood.
Academic Achievement
This year, Brother Tristen has shown incredible dedication during his senior year, and it’s paying off! Maintaining a 3.9 GPA, he stays motivated, focused, and committed to achieving his goals. We are so proud of Tristen and can’t wait to see all the amazing things he will accomplish. Keep pushing, Tristen; you’re setting the bar high!
We’re proud to highlight Brother Darien for his incredible dedication and resilience! As a senior, he has overcome many challenges and is now thriving academically. His outstanding grades reflect his focus, determination, and commitment to success. Darien, your resilience and perseverance inspire us all—keep shining!
Brother of the Month
