Students engaged with IYT mentors at AVID Career Day. Students were able to ask thoughtful questions about the impact of mentorship and learned how they can one day become mentors themselves.
Improve Your Tomorrow (IYT) joined Rio Calaveras’ Career Day, hosted by AVID, to inspire students about the power of mentorship. Brothers learned how positive role models can shape their goals, fuel motivation, and build confidence for the future. Events like these remind us that guidance and encouragement can spark a lifelong belief in one’s potential.
Academic Achievement
Brother Aidan, 8th grader at Rio Calaveras, currently holds a 3.6 GPA.
Eighth Grader, Brother Aiden, is being recognized for his outstanding academic dedication. He consistently completes his work on time, maintains excellent grades, and is praised by his teachers for his positive attitude and respectful behavior. Aiden’s focus and determination make him a role model for his peers and a true reflection of IYT’s core values.
Workshop
Students write their own song or chant inspired by the IYT core values.
Students at Rio Calaveras recently participated in a powerful workshop focused on IYT’s core values: Service, Character, Liberation, and Teamwork. Through meaningful table discussions, students reflected on how these principles guide their actions at school, in the program, and within their communities. Each student shared personal insights and examples of how they strive to embody these values every day. The workshop served as an inspiring reminder that living these values strengthens both personal growth and the bonds of brotherhood.

Brother of the Month
Ayaan
7th Grade
Brother Ayaan, a 7th grader at Rio Calaveras, has been named Brother of the Month for his and strong character. He consistently shows up with a positive attitude, ready to learn and engage with his mentors and peers. Ayaan’s determination to improve and maintain his grades reflects his both in and out of the classroom. His consistency, effort, and support for others embody what it means to be a brother in IYT.
