Stagg High School Club, IYT Parent Orientation, Stockton Service Corp Day
IYT Edison and Stagg Brothers take a group photo for community service at the Stockton Service Corps.
IYT at Stagg High School was a vibrant hub of community building, from exciting on-campus recruitment to impactful off-campus service. We kicked things off with a high-energy Lunch Club Rush, where a competitive cup pong game gave potential recruits a fun taste of our brotherhood. This enthusiasm was matched by our families at a lively Parent Orientation, hosted by PMs Jazz Swanson and Rafael Andrade, which drew an amazing crowd and featured exciting raffle prizes. Putting that community spirit into action, our brothers then joined forces with the Edison High chapter for the Stockton Service Corp opening day at the Emergency Food Bank, where they worked together to serve families in need. It was a month truly dedicated to growing our brotherhood and giving back.

My Why:
My why is to be the person to my students that a few coaches and mentors were to me. I want to show them all of the things they don’t even know are out there for them and be the leader to guide them on their journey. There is also a lot of unlearning that needs to take place within our communities.
IYT Partners with Governor Newsom on New Statewide Initiative
Improve Your Tomorrow (IYT) is honored to be a featured partner in Governor Gavin Newsom’s new statewide initiative, the California Men’s Service Challenge.
This historic campaign aims to address the crisis of loneliness among young men and boys through service and mentorship, providing them with purpose and belonging. IYT Brothers and mentors joined Governor Newsom, California Volunteers Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday, and other leaders at Florin High School to launch the year-long initiative.
In this powerful conversation with Josh Fryday, Michael shares why connection, purpose, and service are essential to addressing today’s crisis facing young men and boys—and how IYT is building a pipeline from college to community rooted in love and belonging.
